Text Module Settings Window

The elements of this window are as follows:

Placement
Each page on your site has designated ‘containers’ into which you can place Modules. The container names are displayed on the page to help you identify them. Select the container name from this list where you wish to display the Text Module.

Style
There is normally only one setting for this which is ‘default’. In some cases though you may have other options available. This can be used to select an alternate pre-defined style for the Module if one exists.

Picture Alignment
If you are including a picture within the Text then select either ‘left’ or ‘right’ from this list to position it accordingly. If no picture applies then this option should be set to ‘none’.

Picture Scaling
You can use this menu to scale a picture. The scaling settings are a percentage of the enclosing container width. For better quality scaling though it is recommended that you resize an image in photo-editing software, see our help page on preparing pictures for your website.

Picture Alternate Text
It is highly recommended that you add an alternate text description for each picture on your website. This alternate text helps those people who are using accessibility aids, such as text readers, to understand the meaning of your pictures.

As an example, if your picture is of the Houses of Parliament, then enter the text ‘Houses of Parliament’ here.

Picture Caption
If you would like your picture to have a caption added beneath it enter the caption text here.

Picture Caption Alignment
Alignment settings for the caption underneath your picture. You can allign it to the left, centre or right edge of the picture.

Picture Link Address
[version 3.1.3 onwards]
If you would like the picture to be linked to another web page, enter the full URL of the destination page here.
