Text Editor
The Text Editor provides the tools to edit and format the text content of your website.
At the top the Editor are a number of controls, these are explained below:
Formatting buttons
Bold, Italic, Underline and strikethrough formatting.
Alignment controls, left, right, centre and full justification.
Bullet list and numbered bullet list.
Link and unlink controls. Select the text you wish to make a web link and click the Link button to enter the web address.
Text colour and text background colour.
Remove formatting. Removes all formatting on the text you have selected.
Insert custom character. Enables insertion of non-standard characters such as the copyright symbol.
Allows you to assign pre-created styles. Mainly used for assigning ‘heading’ styles. Normally text will have the ‘paragraph’ style and not need to be changed.
You can use this menu to assign different fonts to the selected text. Please note though that your website will have been setup with an overall font styling for consistent display of text across all of your pages, so in most cases you will not need to assign new fonts to your text.
You can use this menu to change the size of the selected text.
Click this button to access the underlying HTML source code for your text. This is a feature that is for advanced users only.
